Guitar Hero

Guitar Hero is a video game musical developed by Harmonix Music Systems and published by RedOctane for the PlayStation 2 video game console. It is the first game in the Guitar Hero series. Guitar Hero was released on November 8, 2005 in North America, April 7, 2006 in Europe and June 15, 2006 in Australia. The game's development was a result of collaboration between Harmonix and RedOctane to bring a game similar to GuitarFreaks for America Norte.O game features a game controller shaped like a guitar (like a miniature Gibson SG) that the player uses to simulate the playing of rock music. The gameplay is similar to the GuitarFreaks, in which the player presses the buttons on the controller at the time the musical notes moving on the screen of the game. The game features 30 covers of popular rock songs spanning five decades of rock, from 1960 until 2005, plus bonus tracks from independent artists. Guitar Hero has become a positive surprise, winning critical acclaim and many awards and also winning by major publications of videogames, and was considered one of the most influential games of the first decade of this century. The game launched the successful Guitar Hero franchise, with more than two billion dollars in sales, several sequences, expansions, and other products related to the game.
