The Last Guardian, titled in Japan and before that as Project Trico, is a video game developed by Team Ico future, which will be published exclusively for the PlayStation 3 console by Sony Computer Entertainment. The title is being produced and directed by Fumito Ueda, and is expected to share thematic elements, stylistic and gameplay of its predecessors, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, though it is unknown if the game will be directly connected to them or not. In May 2009, a trailer became publicly available online, weeks before he formally announced its development at E3 2009.The Last Guardian is a game third-person perspective that combines elements of action-adventure and puzzle. The player controls the unnamed boy who can run, jump, climb and perform other actions, similar to the gameplay found in Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. This is enhanced with interaction with the gigantic creature, where the boy can climb and ride. As stated by Ueda, the creature is controlled by its own behavior and natural animal instincts, and depends on the player to guide the creature, "taking advantage of their natural behavior," to complete puzzles. For example, the player can make the boy throw a barrel to a certain place, which makes the creature interest in the object and move there. The player may also have to find a way to make the creature be seated so that it complete a section, since the creature is a tendency to run up the player. The player must also take care of the creature to feed it and removing the arrows or spears that are stuck to your body. The game focuses on the development of the friendship between a boy and a giant creature resembling a griffin named "Sea Eagle" or "erne" in the title in Japanese. The creature has feathers for much of the body, some new feathers sharp as well, and it can be seen that possessed wings, which possibly were cut (The creature has spears and arrows stuck to your back) and is initially attached to a chain. Later, the creature is released and is seen attacking a soldier.
